Smart Roadster Passenger Airbag On/Off switch.

Now with new and improved tubular key switch.

Fits discretely in the side panel of the boot or any other suitable place of your choosing.

Reasonably simple to fit, requires the drilling of one 19mm hole into a suitable location out of reach of the child. 

With the Airbag Key Switch turned to the OFF position the smart fortwo's diagnosis system automatically deactivates the airbags and belt tensioner on the passenger side only. On vehicle start-up the airbag warning light will illuminate and flash 15 times to confirm deactivation of the passenger-side system. Once the flashing cycle has completed the airbag light will extinguish to indicate all is well within the system. Should the light remain lit at any time after this sequence this would indicate a fault within the system and the vehicle must not be driven.

Plugs into the existing smart wiring loom under the passenger seat (it helps to remove the seat whilst fitting to aid in accessing the wiring loom).

Requires further programming to activate the switch; this can be done in our workshop in Somerset at a total cost of £109.50 (including fitting & programming) or your local official smart dealership at a cost to be determined by them.
