Smart Fortwo & Roadster Baby Seat

 Child restraint system for the 0+ group (installed facing backwards). The baby seat is specially approved for use in combination with the Basisfix fastener and seat brackets and may only be used in vehicles belonging to the Smart Fortwo, city-coupe, city-cabrio, Roadster & Roadster-Coupe model ranges. The seat covers can be removed and washed at any time. The baby seat is locked into position on the passenger seat using the Basisfix fastener and seat brackets, which are fitted by the smart Centre or here in our workshops in Somerset. The smart fortwo's diagnosis system deactivates the airbags and belt tensioner on the passenger side automatically for as long as the baby seat remains correctly mounted with the Basisfix fastener and seat brackets. The baby seat complies with all the statutory safety requirements stipulated in ECE R44/03.


The  baby seat needs the Basisfix bracket fitted which requires enabling via a STAR diagnostic computer.
