      The hydraulic tappets are used to maintain zero valve clearance in the engine which leads to quieter operation.  The camshaft uses the hydraulic tappets to open and close the valves.  Suitable for both the 599cc and 698cc Smart cars also suitable for the Roadster. (6 are required).
